Please note that ANY HOMEWORK OR EXTRA CREDIT CONTAINING AN ATTACHMENT WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DELETED. If you have any
questions, please feel free to ask either myself or Lavinia and we will attempt to clear them up for you. Thanks!
The due date for this assignment is: OCTOBER 31.
Homework is worth a total of 30 points.
Jigsaw Puzzle: (10 POINTS)
Oh heavens!! It seems that someone (or something) has gotten ahold of your vampire hunting kit and scattered the contents from one end of the globe to the other. Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration, but still-you cannot very well go off hunting vampires without your kit in order, now can you?! Please go here and solve the jigsaw puzzle to set your kit back to rights so that you can be on your way. Load your completed image to a photo-sharing site (Photobucket, Flickr, etc) and send me the link only. As always, NO ATTACHMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Word Scramble: (10 POINTS) 1 POINT EACH
Below you will find a list of ten (10) items you may find contained in a vampire hunting kit. Please unscramble your checklist to make sure that you have everything you will need. Oh, one last note: just because the words may be broken down into two parts, it does not necessarily mean that the letters go in that order. What? You didn't really expect it to be that easy, did you?!

EXTRA CREDIT (30 POINTS MAXIMUM)-PLEASE CHOOSE ONE (1) OPTION ONLY
Option A:
In the lesson, I highlighted Dr. Van Helsing as the 'vampire hunter of choice'; however he is far from the only vampire hunter out there. Throughout history, in film, literature, and folklore, there have been many tales of these intrepid adventurers who are brave enough to take up the fight against the Undead. Do a bit of research and pick a vampire hunter other than Van Helsing to tell me about in at least 250 words.
Option B:
It is your lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it), day! You have passed your Vampire Hunting course, and with your nifty ID card in hand, you are off on your first assignment. Tell me about it; I want to know all of the juicy details. What items from your kit did you use to vanquish your Undead foe? Or, did you choose to use another method discussed in the lesson? Why did you choose the method you did? What was the nature of the vampire you were hunting? Be creative and entertain me; I get hungry if I get bored. *hurriedly hides fangs*
Option C:
Illustrate anything that was discussed in the lesson, be it a person, a place, event, etc. This can be done via a
computer program (such as Photoshop, Paintshop, etc) or hand-drawn. As long as it is your own work, I am not particular. Just remember, to make sure and upload them to a file sharing site (such as Photobucket,
Flickr, etc). NO ATTACHMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
